Good read, enjoyable and as always interesting tidbits from Berman. I wasn't sure about the rating for a confusing reason. Some of the tangential side trips that he posits are downright intriguing, and I thought that he was going too far afield from the subject topic. Then I realized that I would research the topic much further as the possibilities are very important to me and my family, especially the chapter on UV. So in the end Berman made me think and dig further into some topics. Kink of like homework, but purely voluntary so can't complain after all.

As a physics teacher, I usually race through the EM spectrum. With this book, I understand a lot more interesting aspects of the various bands, which is going to make me want to have my students spend a little more time and gain a deeper appreciation.

If you are interested in everyday science written in a clear and interesting manner, thus book is for you. The author provides a great historical account of discoveries related to invisible light. Highly recommended.

As soon as this guy says you should be wearing sunglasses, you know all his knowledge is mainstream brainwashing. Just another puppet with a piece of paper from the government of hiding the benefits of the sun.

This is a fascinating overview of how important invisible light is to our day-to-day lives! A well-done overview of the history of discovery of invisible light and its current uses.

The book is lightweight, and small enough to pack in your suitcase or on the plane with you, if you didn’t have time to read up on Belgium at home. I also recommend his Europe Through the Back Door book, for general travel advice that applies to a wide variety of destinations.

Another great travel guide frim RS!The guide is accurate and up to date.I like that it is ment to have the pages marked up and removed so you take what you need daily.Once again, RS travel guides has made our trip a little easier.

The exercise that you are taken through begins with identifying your passion, then your skills and ends with what needs to be done. Very logical, very helpful. Other topics that are covered are how to build your dream team, how to sell, how to work with the media and many more.This valuable book ends with a resource section that provides website information for most of the chapters, additional resources by and for youth, and general business tips. Although the book tells stories about the success of young people, you do not have to be a young person to benefit from it since it touches on multiple topics about organizing an effort of personal interest, no matter what your age.

It’s low budget made book with nothing visual that would keep the kid interested.Small font on grayish paper with absolutely no illustrations and the writing style of a business meeting agenda..With all the stories in the book it could have been done beautifully if pictures of the issues or kids involved in their actions in their (often) impoverished country would be included. Different sized font for new story introduction etc..Good idea, badly done.

Full disclosure: I bought this book because my friend wrote it. I started reading it because she wrote it.I kept reading it because it was so good.Now I am really impressed with my friend, because it turns out she wrote an awesome book. It's useful and inspirational. I bought three more copies to give to organizations that work with tweens and teens. It's a great thing to have on your shelf when a kid comes to you wanting to know how to make a difference.The world is a better place with this book in it.

This book has helped me as a social worker in progress. Will utilize all the tips I've read thus far in the book.

Bought for daughter. I've read it but not sure if daughter has even cracked it open. It has excellent ideas on how to get out there and make changes and create/organize charitable organizations that are doable for teens.

I chose this rating because it really opened my eyes to possibilities that I can make happen. I like that you involved some children and what they did to become a change maker. I would recommend this book for people who are stating clubs for things that matter. Anyone who, would take the time to read this.

Ms. Thompson has written a book that will change countless lives. As teens become more tech and world savvy they are also becoming increasingly empowered. This books guides them in how to create a service organization in a clear step by step manner. Easy to read and full of helpful how to information for the discerning teen, or any adult looking to make a difference.

This was a very helpful book as a step-by-step assistance to those young people who want to start a business or a charitable endeavor. Thompson provides good links and hints that would help young people think through what they need to do.

I only wish that I had this right after I gave birth to my baby! I was desperately looking for a way to help me process the experience, especially because, like for most mama's, it was not what I expected. I ended up writing my thoughts down in a journal months later but it was all free-writing. The prompts that Emily offers in this workbook are helpful as a starting place for the places we might benefit from investigating. I could not believe how accurate this book is! I only wish I had found it decades ago, I could have saved myself some pitfalls in life. It's like a guide to living once you decipher your own handwriting. The writing might be a little old fashioned, but what it has to say is invaluable.

I read this book in high school when it first came out. Lost my copy and had to find another one. It was a lovely book. Fun, informative, and interesting.

I enjoy learning a variety of ways of handwriting understanding. This one is good and is a good addition to my library. People are surprised how one can tell a lot about them when reading their handwriting.

Handwriting is used in Europe in daily life, from personnel selection to medical diagnostics. A serious attempt was made to introduce it into the United States for the same purposes, with the difference being that those practicing it in the US are not university-trained as those in Europe are. It would be wise to know at least the basics of what will again be a subject of controversy in the coming years. Shirl Solomon's book is an excellent source of such information.Handwriting is controlled by the electrical system originating in the brain but influenced by everything from nutrition to psychological trauma. If I could recommend one book to start with for real estate investing, this would be it. While there is some overlap with the free Ultimate Beginner's Guide, this is a much better product. In this book, you don't get a whole lot of motivational fluff. You do, however, get a good introduction to several different aspects of investing, and a good introduction to some of the rules of thumb that apply to each. There are also real world examples of pepole who have used the strategies described and done well. All in all, I'd say that you should start here. You won't be an expert after reading this, but you will know what you need to learn and the whole process of becoming an investor will become less intimidating and daunting.

BiggerPockets is the worlds largest real estate investing community. Their self-published books are a reflection of the leadership that grew this brand so successfully. Josh Dorkin, and Brandon Turner have built an extremely successful business, community, and resource for anyone interested in learning about real estate investing. This is a great, easy to read book! I began educating myself on the power of real estate about 3 months before reading this book, but as I had yet to make a deal, I figured I would pick up this book. From the various books I had already read, and the Bigger Pockets Podcast (also 5 stars, 10/10 would recommend that you listen to it) I already had a general understanding of many of the topics covered, but it allowed me to cement that knowledge and still pick up quite a few additional tidbits of information.This would be a great book for anyone just starting in real estate investing, or for someone that is seeking information on other strategies that may not be using currently.

Excellent book, chock full of information. I got a copy for myself and a buddy, PLUS the eBook and audio version so I can listen while I'm at work.The audio version has a few errors, but is done very professionally.

This book has a lot of information to give the reader a solid overview of what to expect in the beginning of their REI journey. It also shares strategies that will help people to find the niche of REI that will align with the individuals goals. There isn't a ton of new content in the book but overall they did a great job to consolidate a lot of topics and give actionable steps. Great job Josh & Brandon!

What makes this book great is the numerous examples of everyday people sharing their struggles, their stories, and their success. If you are newbie Real Estate investor, I encourage you to get this book. It will help you navigate your fears, improve your confidence, and each page will continue to whisper in your ears the courage that you too can do this!

I love how this book talks about the different types of investing and how each person may connect with a different type of investing and that’s OK. So many great actionable tips as well.
