I suspect there are precious few people who possess the burning desire and dedication to enlighten the masses with pure Truth as David Wilcock. Most of our current power structures would rather we follow their “truths” in an attempt to keep us in a perpetual state of fear and control. David Wilcock merges exhaustive scientific research with the world’s most powerful spiritual (not necessarily religious) teachings to reveal the immense power within each of us. He goes to great lengths to show us that time is not linear but cyclical as history continues to repeat itself in predictable cycles until we, collectively and individually, choose to change these cycles and break free from the wheel of karma. The choice is clear: one can choose a negative path of selfish, ego-driven self absorption, or a positive path of humility, unity, and service to others. The implications of each path are dramatically different and diametrically opposed. The choice is always yours and yours alone. The time to choose is now. The entire Universe is poised to assist those who choose the positive path. All we need do is ask.

I thought this book was incredible! David Wilcock is a genius and draws so much information together in a concise and factual way. His writing is interesting and an easy read. I enjoyed this book very much, as I do all of his books. He is an amazing person and everyone who cares about the history of our planet should read this book. Bravo David! This is a book I will recommend to everyone!

Great insights and information in this book. Originally I came from a skeptical perspective but unlike most people I followed the science trail to prove or disprove the author David Wilcock. Over the years, I began to verify more than I imagined and realized the claims many people say to be false, are not false, but in fact as yet to be proven or disproved. A learned view considers all perspectives rather than simply dismissing everything as pseudoscience. A message I believe is lost upon too many. It is a painstakingly long and arduous task but if you decide to follow the trail of verification and do so in a manner of due diligence, you will find many things we have been told and taught in our lifetime are in fact false or at the very least highly questionable.

I think the editing is vastly improved over the Source Field Investigations but still has too much High school level writing mechanics. Nonetheless, I highly recommend this book as well as Source Field Investigations. My review of that book was a bit more harsh, and to be fair David's writing ability obviously continues to improve with this work. I give it 3 stars because if David really focuses on WRITING he could produce something truly magnificent. I am aware that David is a researcher, not a writer and he has an incredible gift of finding and condensing vast amounts of material, making connections across multiple disciplines, and most importantly, is able to communicate these complex concepts to a lay audience. When he is writting about his research, it is free flowing and wonderful to read, but to me there is a very obvious break in contunity, pace and diction, when he goes into the personal narrative of his life and how the topics of his research have intertwined within it. I think David would better serve his audience and frankly himself, by writting a book solely about his personal experiences and philosophical/spiritual development. That way he would not be constrained by the topic he is researching and it would offer a larger space from which to write authenticly about himself. The narative aspects of this book feel incredibly contrived, are unintegrated, and are frankly poorly written for a book with such fascinating information; ultimately to me it just doesn't fit well and David's 'story' disturbs my absorption of the awesome topics Wilcock presents and presents rather eloquently for the most part.Obviously David doesn't read these reviews but just in case, I would highly recommend he read the book 'Four Fish' by Paul Greenberg as an example of how to seemlessly weave a personal narrative (as well as integrating many multiple disciplines) into a research novel.

Mixed, with some excellent informative material, and then sections that are amateurish in writing style as well as new age"feel good" material. Some sections are brilliant and well organized and IMPORTANT and others, well, they dilute the work as a whole. That said, IT IS WORTH READING, AS SOME PARTS OF THIS ARE TOTALLY RIVETING. The book overall needs a good editing job, especially the after death experiences section. I think the Tibetan Book of the Dead and the theosophical teachings provide a more balanced view. However, Wilcock's research is valuable, and I have pre-ordered his next book. I am a fan, and at the same time, have reservations about some of the sections of this book.

#18,286 Paid in Kindle Store (See Top 100 Paid in Kindle Store)

This book came at a perfect time for me. Last year, I began and made significant headway on a big, exciting project that I really felt was a calling from God, and equipped by God. Then nine months ago, a season of sickness, resting, and weakness came uninvited. (Uninvited by me, any way.) And every time I thought it was over and it was "go time" again, another hedge came up. No. Sit. Rest.Another facet of this season is that I'm trying to figure out the balance between promoting the work I've been given, and trusting God to fill in my gaps.So when I heard the title and subtitle of Sara's book, I was ready. And reading it did not disappoint! It's about how we want to hurry and even claw our way out of hidden or difficult seasons, but that's the very place where God can do some amazing things IN us. No matter what's happening outside us.Sara is beautifully vulnerable throughout. She doesn't try to paint herself as someone who has all the answers. In some ways, her authenticity and her themes remind me of Brennan Manning. There are dozens of meaningful, thought-provoking, mind-and-heart-changing quotes I could include here. I underlined like mad in every chapter. But this one is probably my favorite:"[In] my twenties... I envisioned growth to be outstretched [tree] branches... and mostly ignored the roots. But I could no longer grow tall in God without caring for my root system, without acknowledging that something buried beneath the surface gives life to the trunk and branches I showed the world.... God was ever so gently inviting me back to the soil. To hide *in* Him rather than perform *for* Him, to shift my attention from branches to roots, from my visible work for God to my unseen life in God.... He was patiently drawing my eyes away from the branches and down to my thirsty roots.""Unseen" is about underground growth. It's about turning to God in little, daily, mundane moments, unseen by most of the world - but always seen by Him. It's about pouring out time with Him, even when anyone else (including you) might call it a waste. It's about giving up on trying to be strong, to be enough; and instead letting our weakness turn us to Him for His strength, for His enough. The exchange of my weakness for His strength is fairly easy to grasp - as a theory. Really absorbing it into my heart and living it out, day to day - that's another story. It's a theme that's popped up in my journal for years, but this year, it's been a relentless one. Sara's words are helping me see what it looks like to let the lesson really sink deep. I hope it sticks this time. I think if I keep on with the root work, it will.

Unseen: The Gift of Being Hidden in a World that Loves to be Noticed puts words to what I’ve been feeling in my motherhood journey these last few years. So it’s not necessarily telling me anything new, but it is meeting me right here in this spot with God’s Word.So many times, for the last 7+ years, my days have consisted of dishes, laundry, sweeping the crumbs, wiping the noses, changing the diapers, falling into bed exhausted only to do it all again the next day. Many times I complained to my husband that I was lonely, or isolated, or that no one knew exactly what I was going through. But the truth is…God knew. He saw, He understood, He walked that road with me.More recently, as I have exited the “baby” season to wade knee deep in homeschooling and church planting, I have again felt “unseen.” Even insignificant. After all, how many times did I give that instruction only to find that my child ignored me, didn’t pay attention to me, or just plain disobeyed me? I was trying to find my significance and worth in the things I was doing instead of the One who was watching me. I was working and serving and being productive (sometimes), but I still felt alone and unseen. In this book, Sara delves into the fact that we crave to be seen and noticed. We were designed for it. But we have to go through the winter times when our roots are unseen and our blossoms are gone in order to bloom more fully and grow larger in the spring. Sometimes it is in the unseen moments that we find we are really seen by the most important One (who has been watching us all along). And in those times, if we press into Him, we find a deeper more significant relationship with our Creator. In the unseen moments we can worship more completely. In the times when the world doesn’t notice a thing we are doing, we grow more than we ever could in the limelight. This also speaks to my battle with social media. It’s one of those things I have a hard time controlling sometimes. I want to post things and share what I’m doing and see what people say in response. But in the end, 27 likes on my picture of a beautiful dinner isn’t really important. But making that beautiful dinner for my family can be an act of worship if the work is met with the right attitude and if I give God the glory for my ability to make it. Sometimes I pull away from social media…maybe because I have been feeling insignificant and unseen already, and so I don’t really want anyone else to know. But those times have been some of the best months I have walked with my Savior.I have not completely read this book yet. I have to take it slowly and digest it. But the chapters I have read are very marked up as the Lord has used Sara’s words and her own journey of “unseenness” to challenge my heart in this matter.

I struggled with how many stars to give this just because this message is so close to my heart. I believe in the point she's trying to make 100%. The problem I had with it is I found that, in my opinion, she seemed to ramble quite a bit in her writing and it was just difficult for me to keep tabs on exactly what her point was in each chapter. I feel like a lot could have been trimmed out of this and that a little more clarity in getting her points across would have been helpful. I would describe her as a less vague Ann Voskamp in some ways (and I love me some Ann V., don't get me wrong, but it's also kind of hard to discern what her point is in her writing sometimes). My other issue was that, I am a single, never married, childless woman. In order to apply the concepts she writes about to my life, I really had to use a huge amount of imagination. I don't know that this is quite a criticism. She was married quite young in life and a big part of her story has to do with her children, both adopted and biological. So it is understandable that this is the story that inspires her writing. However, this book is not marketed specifically to mothers. It would have been nice if she had somehow been able to craft her message in a way that made it more applicable to a broader audience or if she had just straight up marketed it to mothers, I also feel that would have been appropriate.

#7,053 Paid in Kindle Store (See Top 100 Paid in Kindle Store)

This one is very good and believable. I enjoyed learning more about Isaac and Holly. Abigail is growing on me. I wonder when we will learn what kind of mystic Holly is. Surprised that Mona wasn’t in this story. Brian and Monica are cute together. I liked the pat with the elf.

Entertaining read. Monica is great as usual her familiar Abigail is her usual grumpy self. The elf was a great addition to the story.

An Eye for Murder #5 - Looks like this is where I stop reading this series. The characters, which were somewhat interesting are stilted and their dialog plain dumb. The writing style has changed again back to the preteen and the mystery is not mysterious. The mysteries were never good but the magical parts were entertaining even though the sisters aren't equally part of each story. This appears to be common with this author to start off with one or two books in a series and by the third or fourth, they're reduced to simplistic trash with poor dialog, planning and no knowledge of police procedures. Book source: Fairfield newletter. 2*Back Room Bookstore Series:I have read other series by Ms. Harper and they were more substantial than this series. The writing style is juvenile, simplistic, predictable and too much liberties taken with actually investigative procedures. A simpleton cop wanting a civilian to help him with murder investigations, sorry can't run with that theme. There's a lot of repetition which is probably for word count because I know the author doesn't consider her readers to be simpletons that forget what was just said.My impression is that books 2 - 3 were written by a preteen for the children's genre. The storylines aren't well thought out but Hollywood to fit the outcome without logic. While the author likes to rant about not being prejudice against others, she repeatedly has Monica berate her familiar Abigail for her past and demean her by ignoring Abi's request not to call her kitty cat, cat, etc. Some of the word choices used are not correct: ghoulish and clamoring, for examples (books 2 and 3). With ghoulish and others, why label anyway the reader can tell the difference, unless we're simpletons? Assorted ratings for the first four books of this series and I contacted Fairfield to do reviews.Books And Brews #1- The cute cover caught my eye, even though I like this author, having read several of her books already. This well written quick read is full of naivety, humor and interesting characters. Monica and Abigail have a rocky relationship but there are reasons. The bookstore is actually two, human and magical. A good introductory story about the sisters and their magic, which is well done. There's a developing friendship between the witch and the simpleton policeman, which may blossom into a romance. The murder part of the story is rather silly, Monica is investigating alongside Brian? The murderer is easy to figure out early in the investigation. This part of the book didn't work too well and I was disappointed with the farce of an investigation. I contacted Fairfield to do reviews. 3.5*A Guilty Party #2 - This book starts a week after Books and Brews end. Holly gets a more active part and she has an unknown to all secret. This story has a lot of preaching about stereotypes and prejudice, yet Monica still treats Abi disrespectfully. Practice what you preach, witch. The ghoulish label is incorrectly used, unless all mystics are evil. This book is heavy with the unrealistic, plastic and juvenile dialog; there is a heavy impression of a preteen writer. I love Holly and Abi's characters, not counting Monica, the others are OK but not developed or used enough. This is a stereotypical cozy with no substance and certainly not written for adults. Simplistic. 2 stars.A Staged Murder #3 - The timeframe for this book is in the same month. There's a bit of a cliffhanger with the Council not releasing the truth for the fear of the consequences. Finally something original and worthy of reading, the last part of the book. The is a lot of unprofessionalism on the part of Officer Brian: Monica helping with interviews; calling for an ambulance too late (done while he's rushing); and the way he spoke to a woman, "Chill, lady, we're..." (location 246).Monica oversteps herself, in my opinion, with equating what was done in Abi's past by forcing A to a play based on what happened to A over 300 years ago, which is factually incorrect. Then M decides not to read fake mystic books, yet she goes to The Crucible and loves it and ignores A? There's a lot of redundancy with M berating A; gee, is that a prejudicial and judgmental attitude happening here? M does one nice thing for A, but still keeps up berating her. For an interesting, unexpected twist: why build a new murder weapon when the old could have been modified? Spoiler if I explain how to modify. For the interesting, few pages of the ending, this book gets 3 stars.A Gruesome Goal #4 - Picks up where A Staged Murder ended. Since ASM ended on an interesting note, I depended on this book to overcome the problems with the previous two books. The writing style had changed back to Ms. Harper's usual style, I was relieved to find Goal interesting. The storylines actually made sense and were thought out. The characters added to the depth of the story. I was glad the murder was in the mystic realm, so no stupidity with Monica and Officer Bryan working together. There's a bit of a cliffhanger with the name of Holly's father, but I'm interested in the next book. Hopefully, Susan will be the writer instead of the preteen idiot that wrote books #2 and #3. 4 stars.Back Room Bookstore Series end.

Book 5 in an enjoyable cozy paranormal mystery series gives the characters a little more depth so you get to know them even better and like them even more! We are treated to our regular characters, Mona and her familiar Abigail, who is on the mortal side of the bookstore and her assistant Holly who is some type of mystic but we don't know yet...Isaac who is a journalist at the local paper and also a blogger about everything UFO and Alien who has a silent crush on Holly and Brian, the local police officer who likes Mona and she likes him, but he doesn't know about her paranormal abilities. Then we are also treated to a wayward elf from the North Pole along with some humor and craziness. When at the local festival there is a murder and the closest person to the victim is Isaac and the victim is one of the guys who had always bullied him, he is arrested. Mona and Holly along with Brian are on the case. This is a fast paced read that is fun to follow! I received and ARC but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.

I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.I liked the focus on Monica and Holly. I got to learn more about Isaac. I like the explanation of how his UFO obsession could be real. I knew who the murderer was and had idea of what the big clue could be, but the character was so good that I still wanted to finish it and see how it would all work out. And there was an elf! It was way better than I expected. I also liked the interaction with the chief that explains how Monica gets in on so many cases.

Review

"This book is deliciously subversive. Garrett demonstrates that the major writers in Yiddish, a language without its own territory, wrote as if their Jewish subjects lived and traveled freely at the center of the world; not on its margins, not in a ghetto, not in a valorized state of exile.""Garrett's work goes a long way towards conceptualizing and analyzing a phenomenon omnipresent in Yiddish short stories, novels, poetry, and drama, combining theoretical considerations of the journey in general and specific, nuanced readings of Jewish journeys in particular.""This kind of scholarship is vital for the further progress in Yiddish studies and its integration into the mainstream humanities."
